Ana Lopes received the M.Sc and the Ph.D degrees from the Department of Electrical Engineering of the University of Coimbra, Portugal, in 2003 and 2013. She is Adjunct Professor at the Department of Engineering of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. She is also the Director of the Master Course on Informatics Engineering – Internet of Things (IoT). Works in the area(s) of Engineering and Technology with emphasis on Electrotechnical Engineering, Electronics and Informatics with emphasis on Robotics and Automatic Control. She is currently Integrated Researcher at the Institute for Systems and Robotics, University of Coimbra, where she integrates the Human-Centered Robotics area. Her current research interests include assistive navigation for mobile robotics, collaborative control, collaborative navigation, human-robot interaction, and perception for robot navigation, based on machine learning. She is also Collaborator Researcher at the Smart Cities Research Center (Ci2) of Tomar.
