Patrícia Vieira de Almeida completed her Integrated Master’s in Chemical Engineering at the University of Coimbra (Department of Chemical Engineering) in September 2019 and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the same institution, beginning in July 2020. She works as a researcher at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra, with a strong scientific record including 11 peer-reviewed publications and 3 book chapters. Participated in 7 events and co-supervised 2 MSc dissertations. Throughout her academic journey, she has received 3 awards and participated as a research fellow in projects focused on waste valorization. Her expertise spans Chemical Engineering and Technology, with a particular focus on the valorization of agro-industrial residues and the development of sustainable solutions for nutrient recovery and biofuel production. Key research topics include phosphorus, nutrient recovery, adsorption, biological processes, extraction processes, circular economy, carbon footprint, life cycle assessment (LCA), and sustainability. In October 2024, she achieved H-index 8 with 140 citations (Scopus).
