Carina Rodrigues has degree in Education Sciences at the Institute of Education, University of Lisbon. Completed a masters in Education in the area of Adult Education, where she developed a project related with teaching Information Technologies and Communication to senior citizens. She works in the eLearning field since January 2008, being part of the initial team working on eLearning courses at IPLeiria. As an instructional designer she plans, develops, implements and supports higher degree and lifelong learning courses. She is part of a team responsible for the online tutors course at IPLeiria, training teachers to be pedagogically and technically skilled in order to be online tutors. She also promotes content creation Web 2.0 workshops for teachers and students of IPLeiria. At the moment, she is finishing the PhD in eLearning and Distance Learning at Open University. She has been investigating how senior citizens appropriate their mobile devices (tablets and smartphones) in different areas of everyday life.
