Current research topics: Rare Event search - Dark Matter and Neutrino Physics. Member of the collaborations: CRESST - Dark Matter Search, International Collaboration led by the Max-Planck Institut fur Physic - MPP; and NUCLEUS - Coherent Neutrino-Nucleus Scattering, International Collaboration led by the Technische Universität München - TUM. Member of LIBPhys-Coimbra. Contributor to the experiment COSINUS - Dark Matter Search, International Collaboration led by MPP. Guest Scientist of the Max-Planck Institut fuer Physik, Munich, Germany, since 2006. CRESST Upgrade Manager between August 2017 and January 2020, holding in this period a two years contract from the MPP, as a Senior Scientist. From the result of this work there are now two Patent Applications in the process of submission. DPhil Degree from the University of Oxford, UK, in Particle Physics, in 2005. Previous Work: Between 1997 and 1999 worked with Superconducting X-ray calorimeters and IR - bolometers, at SRON, Utrecht, The Netherlands. Between 1990 and 1997 worked with Gas Scintillating Detectors, development and simulation, at the University of Coimbra, Portugal.
