Isabel Ferreira obtained her PhD in Pharmaceuticals Sciences in 2021 by the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra, in which she focused on the role of danger signals in allergic diseases to low molecular weight chemicals. Isabel has been working in the field of Immunology and Toxicology research for 10 years, but in the last 8 years, she's been involved in the study of skin and respiratory sensitization as well as in the development of non-animal alternative approaches. Throughout her scientific path, Isabel published 22 papers in SCI indexed journals and 2 book chapters. She also contributed for 4 provisional patent applications, participated in several financed projects both as a researcher or a team member and is currently a co-supervisor of a MSc student. She has been recently awarded with a Colgate-Palmolive Grant for Alternative Research (2021).
