Pier Parpot is Associate Professor in Minho University. He published 75 papers in international scientific journals and 4 book chapters. He is/has been supervisor or co-supervisor of 30 Msc thesis and 7 PhD thesis. His scientific work includes the valorization of biomass using electrochemical methods; the removal of organic pollutants and nitrates from wastewaters using electrocatalysts based on carbon nanotubes; the simultaneous pollutant removal and energy production from wastewaters using microbial fuel cells. He is also involved in analytical work with special focus on product identification and quantification using HPLC-MS and GC-MS.
