I completed my PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics in 2013 at the University of Paris-South, Orsay (France). From 2012 to 2013, I have in parallel occupied the position of temporary research assistant at the University Paris-South (France). I then joined the Laboratory of Astrophysics of Marseille (France) as a Research and Technical engineer (2014-16). In 2017, I arrived at the Institute of Astrophysics and Space Sciences in Porto as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (2017-present). \\ In 2019, I was awarded an FCT DL57 contract. I have been Co-I in 3 funded research FCT projects (total: 500 KEUR) \\ I am a science team member of the consortia of the ESA-CHEOPS satellite, the ESO-ESPRESSO spectrograph, the ESO-ANDES spectrograph, the ESA-Ariel and ESA-PLATO mission. For CHEOPS, I have been the manager of the team responsible for the development of the official data reduction pipeline for 3 years between 2014-2016 and I have resumed this role this year (2024). I am leading the working group dedicated to the characterisation of exoplanetary atmosphere within the CHEOPS consortium since 2022. Before that, from 2019 to 2022, I was co-leading this working group. Regarding the ESA-ARIEL mission, I am a member of the consortium and manager of 1 work package on the studies of reflected light from planetary atmospheres. I have been also managing the working group dedicated to the mass determination of the ARIEL target from 2002 to 2021. I am the coordinator of the scientific contribution of Portugal to the mission in collaboration with the Portuguese Co-PI (Pedro Machado). Regarding the ESA-PLATO mission, I am a member of 2 work packages. \\ My research activities are dedicated to exoplanet sciences and I have addressed several sub-disciplines: The direct observation of exoplanetary atmosphere with nulling interferometry, the ranking and vetting of planetary candidates detected by transit photometry surveys, the detection and characterisation of exoplanets via transit photometry and radial velocities. Finally, since 2016, I have been focused on the characterisation of exoplanetary atmospheres with high-precision photometry and high-resolution spectroscopy. \\ I have authored 174 publications in refereed journals (including 3 in Nature, 1 in Science, and 2 in Nature Astronomy) including 4 as first author. I have an H-index of 40. I have contributed to 1 book chapter. I have written 3 conference proceedings. \\ I am a referee for 3 international journals. I am a member of the Editorial Board of the journals Frontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences and Frontiers in Physics. \\ I have been a jury member in 3 Master theses (main referee) and 1 PhD Thesis (examinator) \\ I have presented multiple talks at international conferences and workshops including 5 invited talks, 1 keynote talk and 6 contributed talks. I have written 3 proceedings in international conferences. \\ I have been a member of the Local Organizing Committee of 2 international conferences, including 1 as Chair. I have contributed to 1 Scientific Organizing Committee as Chair. \\ My supervision expertise is 6 PhD (3 ongoings, 1 awaiting defence, 2 successfully concluded), 7 MSc projects (1 ongoing) and 4 undergraduate projects (completed). \\ I have a French teaching degree/certification obtained via a national competitive exam in 2008 (13th nationwide). I have taught at the University to Bachelor and Master students. \\ I am contributing to the dissemination of science and astrophysics in particular, with 2 public talks. Over the past 3 years, I have contributed to 8 press releases, including 1 ESO press release on one of my first author papers which was selected has a yearly highlight by ESO and 1 ESA press release also on another of my first author papers (which was the subject of a Nature research highlight). I have made 1 TV interview for the Portuguese TV.
