Abeer Al Mohtar. Completed her PhD Degree in Nanotechnology and Optics from the University of Technology of Troyes, France in 2015, her Master of Sciences in Physics, from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon in 2011. Currently, she is a CEEC Junior Researcher at CERENA, Universidade de Lisboa Instituto Superior Técnico. She participated as researcher in 3 international projects. During her professional activities she interacted with 64 collaborator(s) in co-authorship of scientific works. She published 15 articles in Q1 specialized journals (of which 11 as first author/first coauthor, 4 as corresponding author), 1 Q2 journal, 2 conference proceedings, 1 book chapter. She is the co-inventor of 3 patents (1 international, 1 national, 1 filled). She disseminated her work via oral presentations in 14 conferences (of which 11 international and 3 national) and via poster presentations in 5 international conferences. She was invited to be the speaker/instructor of 3 seminars in Portugal, Germany and Lebanon, 2 international workshops, 1 training session, 1 oral presentation in an international conference. She received 3 awards and/or honors. She works in the area of: Indoor air quality, Carbon capture, Gas separation processes, Quantum Chemical Calculations, Finite Element Method calculations.
