Clara Piccirillo (PhD in Materials Science) has been working in research for over 20 years in research institutions in Italy, United Kingdom and Portugal. She has experience in materials synthesis and characterisation with several methodologies/techniques. She worked mainly with materials for biomedicine, cosmetics and environment remdiation; she is also interested in synthesis according to green chemistry principles. She has over 80 publications in peer reviewed journals (h index 26), as well as presentations at international conferences; she also co-authored 3 patents. She has teaching experience at degree level. She worked as evaluator for Marie Curie research grants.
