Eduarda P. Martins (EM) holds a PhD in Health Sciences in collaboration between the ICVS, School of Medicine and Stemmatters, Biotecnologia e Medicina Regenerativa S.A (since September 2023). EM graduated in Applied Biology in 2016 (School of Sciences, UMinho) and in 2018 she completed her Master's degree in Health Sciences (School of Medicine, UMinho) supervised by Dr. Bruno M. Costa. During her post-graduation studies, EM received training in Laboratory Animal Science (being accredited by the national agency Direção Geral de Alimentação e Veterinária to work with animals for scientific purposes) and to be a trainer of the Laboratory Animal Sciences course. Her main interests are focused on the study of brain tumors, namely glioblastoma, trying to identify prognostic biomarkers and mechanisms of aggressiveness. EM has coauthored 9 publications in peer-reviewed journals (including two as first author). Publications total an impact factor of 58.6 (average of 6.5). EM also attended to several scientific meetings, contributing with 23 posters (13 as first author) and 13 oral presentations (7 as first author). These communications were awarded with 6 communication prizes, including two best poster and one best oral communication as first author. EM has also been awarded with a travel grant to participate in the 11th Brain Tumor Meeting in Berlin.
