Rafael Oliveira received his M.Sc. degree in Computer and Telematics Engineering from the University of Aveiro, Portugal, in 2023. In the same year, as an undergraduate student, he received a research grant at Instituto de Telecomunicações in Aveiro, Portugal, to work towards a channel optimization solution for Wi-Fi 6E mesh networks, with EasyMesh tri-band equipment. This work was carried out in the context of the master's dissertation, and it resulted in a paper published at the Ad Hoc Networks journal. Later, he joined the Network Architectures and Protocols group at Instituto de Telecomunicações in Aveiro, Portugal, as a full-time researcher, working on machine learning algorithms for optimizing wireless networks. His current research interests include wireless mesh networks, Wi-Fi technologies, multi-link wireless aggregation, network optimization and reinforcement learning techniques. Currently, he is enrolled in a Computer Science PhD program at the University of Aveiro, working on MAC optimizations for Wi-Fi 7.
