Dr. Oksana V. Nesterova graduated in Inorganic Chemistry (2001) and completed PhD degree in Chemistry (2005) from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine, where she continued as a Researcher during 2005-2010. From 2010 to 2018 Dr. Nesterova held a postdoctoral position at the Centro de Química Estrutural (CQE), Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon, Portugal. From November 2018 she is a Researcher at the CQE. Dr. Nesterova (co)authored 67 peer-reviewed publications (h index = 20), 3 book chapters, 5 patents and 37 conference contributions. She participated in 6 international competitive R&D Projects (including projects funded by the FCT (Portugal) and the INTAS (EU) with sum financing of >700 KEuro and was a PI in 4 competitive Grants (> 200 KEuro). In 2006 and 2007 Dr. Nesterova realized two short-term research visits at Vienna University of Technology, Austria and in 2007 she made research visit at the Chemical Department of Wroclaw University, Poland. Dr. Oksana V. Nesterova (co)supervised 14 students/researchers (BSc, MSc, PhD, ERASMUS and visiting students, researches). Current research of Dr. Oksana V. Nesterova focuses on: (i) the design and synthesis of homo- and heterometallic polynuclear complexes, coordination polymers and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) based on transition metal ions and N,O-donor ligands; (ii) the development of efficient and selective catalytic systems based on coordination compounds towards the mild hydrocarbon C-H bond activation and (iii) the investigation of magnetic behavior of heterometallic clusters focused on the search for Single-Molecule Magnet (SMM) and Single-Ion Magnet (SIM) materials. She is a reviewer of scientific papers for chemical and multidisciplinary journals (ACS, RSC, Wiley, Elsevier, MDPI). Dr. Oksana V. Nesterova was a member of organizing committee of 21nd International Chugaev Conference on Coordination Chemistry (Ukraine, 2003), XXV International Conference on Organometallic Chemistry, ICOMC (Portugal, 2012), 7th EuCheMS Conference on Nitrogen Ligands (Portugal, 2018), 1st International Conferences on Noncovalent Interactions (Portugal, 2019) and XXII International Symposium on Homogeneous Catalysis, XXII ISHC (Portugal, 2022).
