Manuel Francisco Pereira completed the Habilitation title (2009) and the Ph.D. (2000) both in Geology at the Évora University; Master's degree in Internal Geodynamics (1995) and BSc degree in Geology (1991) at the Lisbon University. Since 2018 is an Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Geoscience Department of the Science and Technology School, and a senior researcher at the Earth Sciences Institute of the Évora University. Published 84 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals (h-index=27; SCOPUS). Works on Geology with Geological mapping, Stratigraphy, Petrography, Structural Geology, Geochemistry, Geochronology, and Regional Tectonics as main areas of interest. In their professional activities interacted with more than one hundred collaborators co-authorship of scientific papers. At the moment, is conducting scientific research on the pre-Mesozoic rocks of SW of Portugal, W of Spain, and NW of Morocco.
