Ivan Miguel Pires received a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco in 2010. He obtained his M.Sc. and European Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI) in 2012 and 2018, respectively. Between February 2019 and September 2019, he frequented a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at C4 - Cloud Computing Competence Centre (UBI), related to Passing Cloud. The subject was conveyed to sensors embedded on mobile devices to monitor traffic warning situations by car. He was an Invited Adjunct Professor at Polytechnic Institute of Viseu between October 2019 and September 2021. Furthermore, he was an Invited Assistant Professor at the University of Tras-os-Montes e Alto Douro between October 2021 and July 2022. His main interests are the application of data fusion and classification techniques of the data acquired from the sensors available in mobile devices for different areas.
