I work as conservation scientist within the global network of BirdLife International to provide knowledge about the ecology of animal species in a wide variety of ecosystems around the world. The goal of my work is to achieve effective conservation of threatened species and their habitats through evidence-based interventions and collaboration with local partner organisations. My current role is to design and implement research and monitoring projects to identify the causes of species' declines and develop and test management solutions. I have a broad range of field skills as well as experience in the scientific analysis of a variety of monitoring, demographic and distribution data. My current work portfolio revolves around the conservation of seabirds on land and at sea, the restoration of islands through the eradication of invasive vertebrates, and the conservation of migratory birds along their flyways.
