Ana Cristina da Silva Fernandes completed the PhD in Chemistry (Organic Chemistry) in 1996 by Universidade de Lisboa. She is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the Instituto Superior Técnico at the University of Lisbon. Her research interests are catalysis, organic, organometallic, bioorganometallic and sustainable chemistry. She published 70 ARTICLES (corresponding author of 58 articles) in international peer review journals and 2 publications in international peer-reviewed conference proceeding, 6 invited CHAPTER BOOKS and 1 BOOK, 12 patents (3 WO Patents, 2 US Patents, 7 Portuguese). SUPERVISED 3 PhD theses, 8 MSc dissertations and 4 work(s) of course completion of LSc/BSc, 3 pos-doc students and several research fellows. She is PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR in 5 PROJECTS and Researcher in several project(s). GUEST EDITOR of the special issues and frequent PEER-REVIEWER of several international chemistry journals (Angewandte Chemie, Journal of the Americal Society, ACS Catalysis, ChemSusChem, ChemCatChem, Chemical Communications , Advanced Synthesis & Catalysis, Organic Letters, Journal Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Chemistry - A European Journal, etc.).
