RICARDO JORGE DINIS-OLIVEIRA, PhD, European PhD, DSc, is a Toxicologist and Forensic Sciences Expert. He develops its scientific
and academic activity in the areas of Toxicology and Pharmacology of Psychoactive Substances, Pesticides and Medicines, in
their preclinical, clinical, and forensic aspects, and in Forensic Medicine, namely the development of mathematical models
to calculate the postmortem interval, known as the Holy Grail of Forensic Sciences. He has been supervising several Integrated
Master's dissertations, Master's dissertations, and PhD theses. He is a member of the Editorial Board and Ambassador of several
International Scientific Journals. He is the author of more than 190 articles published (representing more than 4700 citations)
in international indexed journals, with peer review, and author of about 36 book chapters, 4 books and 4 national and 3 international
patents. He is the author of Guidelines in Forensic Sciences for Clinical and Forensic Toxicological samples collection, with
an international scope and has received recognition for his Pedagogical Excellence in Higher Education that resulted in international
scientific publications. Regularly presents Oral Communications / Conferences and in the form of Posters in Scientific Meetings,
which globally number around 250 and organizes, on a regular basis, several scientific events, namely congresses, conference
circles, lectures, workshops or seminars. He coordinated the Self-Assessment Commissions for various accreditation processes
of "new" or "in operation" Cycle of Studies by the Higher Education Accreditation Agency (A3ES) and has been an A3ES expert
since 2019. He is an Full Professor with Habilitation (Aggregation) in Forensic Sciences at the University Institute of Health
Sciences and Associate Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto. He is the Director of the Research
Unit TOXRUN - Toxicology Research Unit of IUCS and integrated researcher of UCIBIO-REQUIMTE - Applied Molecular Biosciences
Unit/ Associated Laboratory for Green Chemistry, Clean Technologies, and Processes. He is currently the Director of the Department
of Sciences, Coordinator of the 1st Cycle of Studies in Forensic Sciences, Coordinator of the 1st Cycle of Studies in Biomedical
Sciences and was Coordinator (and currently co-coordinator) of the 2nd Cycle of Studies in Forensic Sciences of IUCS until
2021. He is a member of several Academic Management Bodies, namely the Pedagogical, Scientific and Management Councils of
IUCS, member of the Installing Committee for the accreditation process of the IUCS Integrated Master in Medicine and member
of the Monitoring Committee of the 2nd and 3rd Cycles of Studies in Forensic Sciences of the University of Porto and 2nd Cycle
of Studies in Forensic Sciences and 3rd Cycle of Studies in Biomedical Sciences and Toxicology of IUCS. He holds the Young
Scientist Award in Forensic Toxicology awarded by the International Association of Forensic Toxicologists and has received
the Medal of Merit in Sciences, awarded by the City Council of Santo Tirso, and the Young Forensic Scientist Award 2016 from
the Portuguese Association of Forensic Sciences (Prof. Doutor Duarte Nuno Vieira Award). In 2021 and 2022 he integrated the
World's Top 2% Scientist's list, which ranks the most highly cited scientists. He is the founder and current President of
the Portuguese Association of Forensic Sciences (APCF). He is the Director of Medical Writing at MTG Research and Development
Lab and he is the Scientific Consultant of Albert Labs Advisory Board. According to SCOPUS, his current h index is 34.
