Ulisses Manuel de Miranda Azeiteiro was educated at the Coimbra University, Portugal, where he received his Doctorate (PhD) in Ecology in 1999 and Aveiro University, Portugal, from which he received his Master Science Degree in 1994. He completed the Habilitation for Full Professorship in 2006 and is Associate Professor with Aggregation in Universidade de Aveiro. He is Member of the Biology Department (Dbio) Council, Distance Learning Coordinator, Responsible for the "Climate Change and Biodiversity Assets Unit", Coordinator of the "Laboratory of Global Changes in Marine Systems". In The Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies (CESAM), Universidade de Aveiro, he is the Coordinator of Thematic Line: Marine Ecosystems & Resources (MER).
