Tânia Moniz (TM), BSc (2009) and MSc (2011) in Biochemistry by Univ. Porto (UP). TM completed PhD degree in Sustainable Chemistry (2016), UP and New Univ. Lisbon. A small part of the PhD curricular path was performed in Univ. VALENCIA. Between 2016-19, TM developed a Post-Doc in the Associated Laboratory for Green Chemistry (LAQV) of the Network of Chemistry and Technology (REQUIMTE) at Fac. Sciences UP. She started to work on plants¿ nutrition, integrating the project (FE)RRYING PLANTS TO PREVENT CHLOROSIS. TM was part of the team FERPLANT that received the ¿Best Pitch¿ award (UPTEC 2017). In 2019, TM moved to LAQV@REQUITME at Fac. Pharmacy UP as Junior Researcher in project 3DS-TRANSDERMAL DRUG DELIVERY where she joined in the field of nanotechnology. Between 2020-21 she was a member of the research team of 2 projects NANO2PREVENT-NANOPARTICLES TO PREVENT SARS-CoV-2 TRANSMISSION and C19-VISUALDETECT. In 2021 she was awarded as the Principal Investigator (PI) of the project NANOFERTIL - CELLULOSE-BASED IRON NANOFERTILIZERS FOR SUSTAINABLE GROWTH OF SOYBEAN PLANTS. Now, she is a researcher in the same institution, and she is mainly focused on the design of molecules and materials for biomedical, agricultural, and environmental applications, employing her strong knowhow on synthetic chemistry, spectroscopy, drug delivery systems, and the study of structure-activity relationships. TM has authored a total of 5 proceedings and 41 papers in international peer review journals (mostly Q1) with more than 450 citations and 13 h index (Scopus): 28 papers after the PhD, 27 in the last 5 years*(9 as 1st and 2 as corresponding author). She is also author of 2 book chapters. TM participated as a researcher in 11 R&D PROJECTS. Presently she is the PI of one of those with a budget of ~50 k€. TM participated in national (I3S, UCP,FEUP) and international collaborations (Univ. Melbourne, Univ. Balearic Islands, Savitribai Phule Pune Univ., Univ. G. d Annunzio Chieti-Pescara, Medical Univ. Sofia, resulting in more than 12 papers. This network allowed TM to acquire new expertise in many techniques and explored novel applications for the designed molecules. In 2022, other collaborations were established with colleagues from UTAD and FEUP to inspect the potential of chemicals to produce free radicals, employing her solid expertise in Electron Paramagnetic Resonance. Additionally, to the funded projects, in the last 5 years, TM applied to last 5 editions of Individual Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus, to 2 FCT R&D Projects as PI, 1 as Co-PI, and 1 project from PRIMA without success. In the last 5 years, TM was invited to be the main argue of 1 curricular unit, 4 BsC and 1 MsC dissertations. She was co- or supervisor of 2 national MsC students, co-supervisor of 1 PhD student (Erasmus internship) and mentor of 1 national and 2 Erasmus MsC students. Since 2018, TM has been invited to review 27 manuscripts, evidencing her scientific international recognition. Between 2021-23 she assumed guest editor functions in two special issues of Pharmaceutics journal. TM also participated in several national/international conferences (9 oral and 14 poster communications in the last 5 years). TM integrated the organizing committee of different national/international conferences and training schools. She participated in theorical/practical seminars in many advanced courses, some credited by UP and in the last 2 years she was contracted as Invited Assistant Professor (ICBAS, UP) as a teacher of 2 curricular units. During this period, TM have one child and interrupted her career during the maternity leave.
