Founder and former Director of the CIAUD - Research Centre in Architecture, Urban Design and Design (2006-2009) . Founder and coordinator of the ADAPT Lab: Architectural Design-Drawing-Art-Project-Theory-Technology . Invited Professor at La Sapienza University of Rome (2006-2012) and at Faculty of Matera, University of Basilicata (2014-15) . Author of several published books and scientific articles about Architecture: The Box, Metaphor and Architecture (Lisbon, 2007); The Space-Limit, production an reception in Architecture (Lisbon, 2007); The Image of the Box in the Portuguese Architecture (Lisbon, 2007); Eloge du Vide (Paris 2010), Geometries of the Gaze and the Invisibility (Philadelphia, 2018); The Transformer Tower (Berlin, 2024) . Main research projects: Architectural Storytelling; Eco-Solar Transformer Architecture; European Green Grid; Para-Architectures; in Praise of Emptiness, The Cornerstone; Geometries of the Gaze and the Invisibility; The Synchronous Project . In parallel and in convergence to teaching, research and practice of architectural design, works as a visual artist, producing art works, namely, Para-Architectures, in between Architecture, Painting, Sculpture, Installation and Metaphysics, under the praise of emptiness.
