Tiago has concluded his PhD in 2019 (February), granted by the Vrije University in Amsterdam and the University of Coimbra, resulting from a double promotion programme. He concluded his Masters degree in Biotechnology of Marine Resources in 2011 by the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria and his bachelor in Marine Biology and Biotechnology in 2009 by the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria. Tiago published 19 articles in high impacted international ISI journals (12 publications as first or second authorship) and has 14 platform presentations, 4 conference papers and 27 poster presentations (21 as first author) in international conferences and congresses. He has 1 book, 1 book chapter and 2 patents. In his professional and research activities he has interacted with over 70 collaborators in co-authorship of scientific works and is now focusing his research on the study of anthropogenic stressors, using sub-cellular tools to link early effects of polluting chemicals through time and consecutive levels of biological organization.
