Nasrin Sepehrimanesh is a Ph.D. candidate in Landscape Arts and Techniques at the University of Évora, where she develops research on the artistic exploration of environmental degradation in urban and industrial landscapes. Her work articulates contemporary art practices with sustainability discourse and urban studies, positioning artistic methodology as a critical tool for environmental reflection. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Painting and a Master’s degree in Art Research. Between 2020 and 2023, she was awarded four consecutive International Merit Scholarships by the University of Évora in recognition of her academic excellence. Her research trajectory includes an ISI-indexed journal publication examining landscape and abstraction in Iranian painting and photography, contributing to discussions on visual representation and environmental aesthetics. Her academic path demonstrates a consistent focus on landscape, form, and environmental themes across both theoretical and artistic production. Alongside her academic development, she has gained professional experience as an art curator, art designer and consultant, and mural artist involved in urban beautification initiatives. She has organized a solo photography exhibition and participated in group painting exhibitions, reinforcing the integration between research and artistic practice. Her doctoral research aims to generate innovative artistic methodologies capable of contributing to sustainability-oriented urban discourse.
