Dzmitry Ivanou obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2005. Obtained degre of Docent in Chemistry in 2010. Since 2014, Dr. Ivanou has been an integral member of LEPABE at UPorto, Portugal, initially as a post-doctoral researcher; and assistant researcher 2017-2022. In 2017 Ph.D. thesis of Ivanou underwent the official qualification procedure with the grade of Ph.D in Physical Chemistry. Since 2022, D.Ivanou has been holding the position of principal researcher at the University of Porto Engineering Faculty. Primary research and responsibilities as a group leader focus on Perovskite Solar Cells (PSCs) and Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs) as well as photoelectrochemistry and electrochemical related topics. D.Ivanou prepared 5 PhD candidates; all approved with excellent mark; sserved as a mentor for 2 PhDs. Within the framework of LEPABE from 2014, Dr. Ivanou has contributed to more than 19 scientific projects, including EU-funded. In 2026, he is the PI of a solid national project, PVBoost, with a budget of ca. 900KEuro, company-oriented for the development and production of indoor PVs for the Internet of Things. which aims to develop indoor PV. His contributions encompass research, scientific consultancy, and publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and patents, reflecting a commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation in photovoltaics and chemical engineering. Current research activities and developments cover knowledge fields of Exact Sciences, particularly Materials Engineering and Processes, Coatings and Films, Nano-materials, Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Electrochemistry, and Optics.
