Luís Filipe Figueira Brito Palma is currently an Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL-FCT-DEEC), a researcher with the CTS-Uninova at UNL-FCT (Lisbon) and LASI, Portugal. He obtained the PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Eng. from Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2007, and his scientific activity has focused on theoretical, practical, and technological challenges related to automatic control systems, human-machine interaction, and remote laboratories. He has been involved in the research teams of 5 research and innovation european projects. He is coauthor of 12 book chapters, 12 papers in scientific journals, 99 papers in international conferences, with about 680 citations and an h-index of 15 (Google Scholar), supervised 1 Phd student and 38 MSc students. He was an expert evaluator on PT2020 and Sifide projects (www.ani.pt). He was elected President of the Directive Comission of the Portuguese Association of Automatic Control (APCA), for the 2023-2024 biennium (https://apca.pt/apca/#corpos).
