Maria Isabel Silva Ferreira Lopes. She completed the Habilitation in Physics in 2000 by Universidade de Coimbra, PhD in 1990 by Universidade de Coimbra and MSc in Physics in 1982 by Universidade de Coimbra. She is Full Professor in University of Coimbra, Portugal, and Senior Researcher in Laboratory of Instrumentation in Experimental Particle Physics (LIP). Her main areas of expertise are dark matter search, particle detectors and medical imaging instrumentation. She is co-author of 236 papers in international peer-reviewed journals listed in Web of Science, having published 47 papers since 2014. Considering the Scopus metrics, these papers have 9641 citations with an h-index of 44. She has given numerous seminars in Universities and other Research Institutions outside Portugal, as well as invited and contributed talks in International Conferences. In 2014 and 2015, she was a member of the Exact Sciences Evaluation Panel of FCT Investigator Call and the Physics Evaluation Panel of FCT PhD and Postdoc Grants Call. Since December 2017, she is member of the Board of Directors of LIP. She has been evaluator of scientific projects for the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), the "Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI)", the German Research Foundation (DFG), She is Editor of the journal Radiation Physics and Chemistry, Elsevier (2021-). She is President of the International Radiation Physics Society (2022-).
