Sandra Vieira completed an Integrated Master’s in Clinical Psychology in 2011 at the University of Coimbra, as well as a Master’s in Psychiatric Research in 2014 and a PhD in Psychosis and Computational Psychiatry in 2019, both from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London. She is currently Principal Investigator at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) where she also serves as Head of the Research Unit, Service of General Psychiatry. She is an invited assistant and affiliate researcher at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London. She has published 29 peer-reviewed journal articles and contributed to 9 book chapters. She supervises 1 PhD student and has (co-)supervised 17 MSc dissertations. She is (co-)Principal Investigator on three projects, and is a co-investigator on the AMP SCZ study, the largest NIH-funded study on clinical high risk for psychosis. She has received 7 awards and honors, including an Early Career Research Award from the Schizophrenia International Research Society. Her research focuses on psychosis, machine learning, predictive modelling, clinical high risk for psychosis, and early intervention.
