José Luís Pereira Domingues holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Management (May 29, 2015), a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering (October 2, 2023, School of Engineering, Polytechnic Institute of Porto), and a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (November 20, 2007). He is currently pursuing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Engineering of Intelligent Systems at the School of Engineering, Polytechnic Institute of Porto. He works as a Guest Lecturer at the School of Health, Polytechnic Institute of Porto, serves as a Physiotherapist at a geriatric care facility, and is a Master’s research fellow at the Research Group on Intelligent Engineering and Computing for Innovation and Development (GECAD – ISEP). His professional and research activities focus on the fields of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Medical and Health Sciences, and Mathematics, with an emphasis on Statistics and Probability. As part of his PhD research, he has completed a systematic literature review on Prediction and Mitigation of Fall Risk in Older Adults: An Explainable Artificial Intelligence Approach, which is ready for journal submission. His research interests include: Artificial Intelligence, Explainable AI, Fall Risk, Older Adults, Digital Health Interventions, and Recommendation Systems.
