Adjunct Professor at Coimbra Business School | ISCAC of the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (IPC), Portugal. Collaborator at the Centre for Organizational and Social Studies of Polytechnic of Porto (CEOS.PP) and at Centre for Natural Resources, Environment and Society (CERNAS). PhD in Applied Mathematics, specialization in Statistics, from the University of Coimbra. PhD thesis explores the probabilistic structure of a general time series model, the power threshold GARCH model, and the application to statistical process control. Published works are in time series analysis and control charts for time series, extending to econometric applications. Research interests are now in sequential data prediction, especially, time series forecasting, with both statistical and machine learning models, and its computational implementation.
