Marta Uva finished her Master's in Health Psychology at Ispa - Instituto Universitário. She defended her master's thesis in October 2024, entitled "Exploring behavioural addictions and insomnia - a study with Portuguese adolescents", obtaining a final grade of 20 (out of 20). Furthermore, during her master's degree, she gave two oral presentations at national and international scientific congresses, was honoured with the Young Researcher of Merit award at the 15th National Congress of Health Psychology in 2024, and also published an article in a national scientific journal (Psicologia, Saúde & Doenças). In addition, she did an internship at the Alvalade Health Centre, where she took her first steps as a health psychologist, carrying out psychological assessment and intervention with patients from all stages of the life cycle, smoking cessation consultations and also developed school health projects to promote healthy eating habits and physical activity in 6-year-olds. Marta has also contributed to the development of several scientific papers that are still being revised and published, such as a book chapter, the validation of scales within the scope of PURI-PRO, the doctoral project of a researcher at William James Center for Research and has worked on the development of an article within the scope of the CLIMACTION, a project funded by the La Caixa Foundation. Her work focuses on Social Sciences, specifically Psychology, with her main research interests being eating, online and sustainable behaviour and also sleep.
