Cosmas Aloiye Ba-Ana-Itenebe is a Humanitarian-Development and Peace Nexus practitioner and has over a decade of working experience with non-governmental organizations and the United Nations in conflict/post conflict environments including Nigeria, South Sudan and Timor-Leste where he has facilitated and implemented several development, protection and peacebuilding projects. Cosmas has a background in Political Science, an International Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance from Fordham University, USA and completed his Masters Degree in Conflict, Governance and International Development from the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom in 2009. He is currently a PhD candidate with the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG), University of Lisbon, Portugal. His PhD thesis explores the structural barriers and coping strategies of internally displaced persons from the Boko Harm insurgency in Nigeria.
