I received my degree in Chemistry from Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto in 2004, where I graduated with the second best grade of the year (15 in a 20-point grading scale). From 2005 to 2011, I worked as F16 Aircraft Maintenance Officer. I was trained in several areas such as safety advisor of dangerous goods, aerospace engineering, flight safety officer, labour safety and health and pedagogical formation. In 2011, I obtained the MSc in Energy and Environment from the Institute Polytechnic of Leiria with the grade of 17 (20-point scale). In 2018, I completed my PhD degree with cum laude distinction in Chemical and Biological Engineering at FEUP, under the supervision of Prof. Mendes. During the PhD at FEUP and also during my internship at VTT (Finland) I have worked on fuel cells, reforming, metallic membranes, modelling, CFD simulation, and system optimization, which resulted in several publications. I have also been involved in several teaching activities in hands-on laboratory sessions and problem sessions for the course of Chemical Engineering. Between August 2018 and July 2020, I was invited by the pharmaceutical company Hovione, to work on the on the project Dryfast, a collaboration between FEUP and Hovione. Due to intellectual property ownership, it was no possible to publish any scientific result during the project period (2018-2020), yet in 2021 I co-author a Patent, disclosing a new method for fast drying of fine and cohesive pharmaceutical powders. Nowadays I supervise and co-supervise 4PhD and 3Msc students. Presently, I am managing assistant and leading scientist of tasks related to FC on 2 projects H2UI4PT (ANI Grant nº039980) and EMPOWER (H2020 Grant nº875081), and managing assistant on the national project e-NOx (ANI Grant nº039926) and leading scientist for the tasks related to fuel cells on Baterias2030 (ANI Grant nº46109). My scientific contributions since 2014 have been the subject of ten publications as first author (one of them under submission) in peer-reviewed journals from the first quartile in the corresponding disciplines, one book chapter as first author, as well as six abstracts as first author for well-known peer-reviewed conferences in their field. In addition, I have co-authored ten publications (two of them under submission) in peer-reviewed journals from the first quartile in the corresponding disciplines, one patent, and two abstracts for well-known peer-reviewed conferences in their field. My publications have been cited 580 or more times according to Scopus. Furthermore, my h-index is 12 according to Scopus. I am guest editor on the special Issue: CFD Electrochemical Modeling and Simulation of FC on Energies. I have been also involved in several teaching activities and the organization of several events namely, H2-summer school course at FEUP, ICCMR (Porto, 2013), 6th HYCELTEC (Porto, 2017). I also co-founded Amnis Pura (www.amnispura.com), a company dedicated to hydrogen technologies.
