Danyela Rascon works as Research Manager at ADAI since 2021. In 2018, the University of Coimbra (UC) granted her, and she developed the project "Interdisciplinary Research, communication, and Transfer in the Energy for Sustainability Initiative of the University of Coimbra". During the time of the execution of the project (2018-2020), she worked as a Science and Technology manager at the Energy for Sustainability (EfS) Initiative, Institute of Interdisciplinary Research, University of Coimbra. She, also, was a member of the Projects and Interdisciplinarity Committee of the Postdocs@UC Initiative and a member of the European Network of Postdoctoral Associations. In 2017, she discussed her Ph.D. thesis about "Occupational and safety issues of workers in central tower solar energy facilities" which was approved unanimously by the jury with the highest score, Louvor e Distinção. The research project was developed under the framework of MIT Portugal and was funded by the Mexican government Foundation, CONACyT, which granted her for the second time (2010-2012 for MSc; 2013-2017 for PhD). She, also, completed three secondments, which took place at the Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya (Spain) and the Solar Platform of Hermosillo (PSH) in Mexico. She interacted with 11 collaborators in co-authorship in 14 scientific outputs and she was identified as the main author in 13 of them (2 theses,1 report, 4 articles in scientific journals, 4 works on event proceedings, and 3 other involvements in conferences). Also, she has four years of work experience in Environmental risk consulting and Coordination of projects. The projects included the analysis of phenomena derived from destructive agents (sanitary-ecological, chemical, hydrological, geographical, and social origin) and the definition of preventive and mitigation measures. Besides her role in the company, she was developing her Master´s project about "measurement of the levels of exposure to solar radiation concentrated in an installation of solar energy's central tower for the estimation of risks to human health" and was collaborating with the University of Sonora on projects and annual reports for different government agencies.
