Jorge Ribeiro is a contracted researcher at the Landscape, Heritage and Territory Laboratory (Lab2PT), a R&D unit of the University of Minho. He holds a PhD in Archaeology, from the same university (2010/11), a degree in Archaeology (2005), a degree in History - variant of Archaeology (2003) and a Bachelor in Tourism (1997). He developps his research mainly in the area of Archaeology of Construction, with a focus on economics of construction, ancient architecture and archaeologicals materials (ceramics, tiles and bricks). He has 18 publications in international journals and 11 publications in international conference proceedings. Additionally, he co-edited 2 books, published/ co-published 7 books and 19 book chapters. He has been involved in 3 international and 10 national projects, focused in the study of roman cities, their society and economy. He also organised 11 scientific meetings, 28 research seminars and 4 study visits. Since 2003, he has been collaborating with the Archaeology Unit of the University of Minho, having participated in several excavations. At the same time, he has taught several disciplines in the Degree and Master courses at the University of Minho, especially Classical Archeology, Roman Civilization, Medieval Archeology, Archaeological Materials, Practical Work, Practical Internship and Research Seminars. He has been keeping a regular activity in master thesis orientation ( 4 completed and 3 ongoing thesis). He integrates 3 research networks, one of them (TCA Network) focused in the study of architectural terracotta, from Antiquity to the modern period. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Jorge Ribeiro.
