Scientific and Professional Profile: Mouhaydine Tlemcani, a Professor Auxiliar and passionate Researcher, boasts expertise in Instrumentation, Signal Processing, Image Processing, Embedded Systems, Agriculture, Water quality monitoring, Energy, and Artificial Intelligence. I began my academic journey as an Assistente Estagiário from 1993, progressed to Assistant in 1997 and have been serving as an Assistant Professor since 2007. Throughout my career, I've held different administrative positions at the University of Evora, including member of the Senate, member of the General Assembly, member of the Administrative Council of the university, member of the Assembly of the School of Science and Technology, member of the Scientific Council, and the founder of the Department of Mechatronics Engineering. I am also the head of the Mechatronics Engineering course, where in the last year, I led a major restructuring introducing three major specialities: Aeronautic Engineering, Energy, and Automation and Robotic. Additionally, I successfully coordinate a PT2020 project in partnership with the national marble industry, achieving disruptive results with a high-level impact. I am currently coordinating a PRR project on NDT for aeronautic maintenance, collaborating with major national actors such as CEiiA and the Portuguese Airforce. Key Strengths: Proficient in a range of technologies, I've applied my skills to devise solutions for industry, agriculture, water issues, energy, and explore AI applications. These skills have played a pivotal role in entrepreneurial endeavors beyond academia. Entrepreneurial Experience: Involvement in building startups has been gratifying, impacting my PhD students positively. This entrepreneurial approach ensures self-funding for research, fostering autonomy, self- reliance, and a resilient research journey.
