Mariana Custódio holds a degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Évora. From 2020 to 2023, she conducted research on bioaerosols and their potential impacts on human health at the Bioaerosol and Aerobiology Laboratory (University of Évora). In 2024, she expanded her expertise to environmental and biochemical soil health analysis as part of the INCOME and SOLVO project . Currently, she is a researcher at the Center for Sci-Tech Research in Earth System and Energy Pole (CREATE_IPBeja), Polytechnic Institute of Beja, where she contributes to the Environmental Contamination and Risk Research Laboratory at the Agrarian School of IPBeja. Additionally, she is pursuing a PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Évora. Her research focuses on Agricultural Sciences, particularly the physicochemical, biological, and ecotoxicological characterization of soils. She has actively participated in international and national conferences, delivering oral presentations and poster communications, and is a co-author of a research paper recently submitted to the Soil Biology and Biochemistry Journal.
