I am a post-doc researcher in the field of Food Science and Food Safety with a background in Biochemistry, food specialization (BSc in 2013 and MSc in 2015 at University of Aveiro (UA, Portugal)), PhD in Sustainable Chemistry (2020, University of Porto), and currently enrolled in a post-graduation math course in Statistics Applied to Health Sciences (UA, 2022). In 2021, I completed my training with a course in Project Management at Leiria Business School to have the necessary tools to manage my own projects. Currently, I work at REQUIMTE-LAQV/FFUP whose main research activities focus on Food Contamination, aiming to evaluate human exposure to dietary contaminants through the oral route. Thus, in my 6-years research experience I have been dedicated to developing chromatographic methods to assess the presence of food contaminants in foods and digested matrices; and also have been establishing in vitro protocols for assessing contaminants bioaccessibility, absorption, and toxicity. I have a total of 16 publications (9 as first author, 1 as co-corresponding) accounting with 14 peer-reviewed papers, all belonging to Q1 and with high impact factor (3.4 to 12.5) in food science and technology, and biomaterials fields, h-index of 7, and more than 200 citations; I am also author/co-author of more than 20 communications in national and international conferences, among them 7 oral/4 poster communications as the first author; I have also supervised 3 foreign PhD students and 2 BSc students (1 ongoing). I participate as a research member on 3 national projects (DIETImpact (PTDC/SAU-NUT/30322/2017) and DIETxPOSOME (PTDC/SAU-NUT/6061/2020), NOBEL (IJUP2021-ITAU-12), and on 3 international networks (INFOGEST, UNGAP, and ML4Microbiome). Up to now, I account with 3 funded international mobilities in different Spanish research centers: i) Analytical Chemistry of Contaminants group at University of Almería, ii) Materials Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC) at Autonomous University of Madrid, and iii) Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA-CSIC) at Valência), all exchanges funded by 1 PhD exchange grant by FCT and two STSM awards. Last year, I received 2 invitations on an international PhD thesis, 1 as an external reviewer and another as a substitute member of PhD thesis committee. I am also an active reviewer on several TOP journals in the food science, food safety, toxicology field (e.g Food Chemistry, Food Research International, Toxins, among others).
