Rita Craveiro (ORCID0000-0001-6540-4055, Scopus ID 55036297800), obtained the BSc in chemistry (2008) from University of Coimbra, the MSc in chemistry from University of Aveiro (2010), and PhD in Sustainable Chemistry from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2015). Since the final year of her BSc, she is involved in research activities, namely in materials chemistry and physical chemistry. From 2015 to 2022 she was Postdoctoral researcher at the Associated Laboratory REQUIMTE/NOVA.ST, under the scope of different projects. Her main interests are related with the physico-chemical studies of alternative solvents and their applications in biotechnology, such as extraction processes, biocatalysis, gas capture and separation, and also for therapeutic applications. She has solid experience in research and publishing in high level peer reviewed journals being author and co-author of 24 peer-reviewed papers, with a total of 2846 citations and 15 h-index. She is also co-inventor of 1 registered patent, Furthermore, she has presented her work as several oral (14) and poster (26) conference presentations. The candidate attended courses and workshops that enhance her competences and promote continuous learning; she attended a Rheology Course at NOVA.ST (2017), the Postgraduate Summer School on Green Chemistry from IUPAC at University Ca’ Foscari in Venice, Italy (2018), the 25th online edition of the Design Thinking Course by Nova Doctoral School (2021), the 2nd Entrepreneurship course, part of the Cost Action “Greenering (CA18224)” (2022) and the Bubble School "New trends on Deep Eutectic Solvents: Green Solution for industry" (2023). These complementary courses, were important for the development of entrepreneurial skills which she can now apply, as she is currently a researcher at Des Solutio, a spin-off from Nova University, devoted to the application of sustainable solvents in real industrial settings. She also has experience in supervision tasks of master students (9) either from Biotechnology and Chemical and Biological Engineering at NOVA.ST- Universidade Nova de Lisboa, having developed the work plans and enabling their execution. Students are receptive to the plans proposed by the candidate since these supervising activities are consistent from 2017 up to now. From 2018 to 2023 she also had teaching roles, in Biocatalysis & Bioremediation, Materials Chemistry A and (Bio)Polymer Sciences, at NOVA.ST- Universidade Nova de Lisboa, both and BSc and MSc levels, revealing her ability to disseminate knowledge and to attract students to her area of work. From 2018 to 2023 she also had teaching activities at NOVA.ST. Since 2019, the candidate was part of different European consortia that applied for different types of calls, being PI of one of the proposals, all in the scope of the theme of CO2 capture, utilization, and valorisation. Although not all proposals were approved, their classification was always well above the minimum threshold. With this, she gained solid experience on how to develop a multidisciplinary plan, in building consortia and gathering the appropriate knowledge to apply for such kinds of projects. This is valuable experience allowed to further develop her networking, management, and organizational skills. She is completely integrated in the academia environment, but also fully committed to scientific industrial translation. The candidate has been involved in various scientific projects, such as Impactive ( GA. 101057286),Des.solve (ERC-2016-COG 725034), CryoDES (PTDC/EQU-EQU/29851/2017), DES-ZYME (PTDC/BBB-EBB/1676/2014) and SilverBrain (PTDC/OCE-ETA/30240/2017). Within these projects she developed new experimental skills and consolidated previous ones. She was also guest editor of 2 special issues from Molecules (2022) "Advanced Research on Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents" (ISSN 1420-3049) and "Recent Advances in Green Solvents" (ISBN978-3-0365-8614-4).
