I am a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Coimbra (student number 2024230355), enrolled since 2024. I hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, where I specialized in Manufacturing and Production. My MSc thesis, graded “Excellent,” focused on the statistical analysis and optimization of Activated TIG welding. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Production and Manufacturing Technology and an Associate Degree in Aircraft Repair and Maintenance. Since 2022, I have served as a Research Assistant and Project Leader at the Unconventional Welding Methods Laboratory at Ferdowsi University. My research centers on welding and wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM), with a focus on process optimization, microstructural control, and sustainability. I have conducted numerous experimental trials in welding and WAAM, resulting in improved mechanical properties and cost efficiency. I use tools such as Python, MATLAB, Design Expert, and SimaPro for modeling, optimization, and life cycle assessment (LCA). I have consulted on four Master’s thesis projects as part of the supervising team, supporting students with experimental design and statistical modeling. These projects covered A-TIG welding optimization, modeling of EDM processes, TIG weld geometry prediction using neural networks, and the role of micro-particles in A-TIG welding performance. I have authored several journal articles published in ISI-indexed journals. These include papers on optimization methods in flux-assisted TIG welding (Journal of Computational Applied Mechanics, 2024), ultrasonic-assisted A-TIG welding (International Journal on Interactive Design and Manufacturing, 2025), and RSM modeling of micro-size A-TIG welding (Welding International, 2025). In parallel, I have worked as a part-time lecturer at Samen Technical University of Mashhad (2022–2025), teaching courses and workshops on alloy steel TIG welding, casting, strength of materials, and welding terminology. This experience has enhanced my academic communication skills and solidified my understanding of core manufacturing topics. My technical expertise includes GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, and ultrasonic-assisted welding. I hold certifications from the Iranian Welding Engineering Company and the General Department of Vocational Training. I am proficient in CAD (CATIA), prototyping (Arduino), and microstructural analysis tools such as SEM, EDX, optical microscopy, and ImageJ. Within the lab, I oversee experimental planning, safety, metallurgical and mechanical testing, fixture design, and data analysis. I hold an IELTS score of 7, demonstrating strong English proficiency. My long-term goal is to advance research in additive manufacturing and sustainable materials processing by integrating experimental work with data-driven modeling and optimization approaches.
