Bojan Matkovski is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, University of Novi Sad. He is a Head of the Department of the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness. He has published more than 60 scientific papers in journals (22 on SSCI/SCI list) and international scientific conferences. In his papers, he has researched the agricultural sector and food market in Serbia and other Western Balkan countries in the EU integration process. He researches the influence of globalization on agricultural development and the competitiveness of agri-food products. Also, through his academic career, he has been involved in several national and international projects in the field of competitiveness of agri-food products, and he is a member of the Program Board of the International Scientific Symposium “Strategic Management and Decision Support Systems in Strategic Management” that holds in Subotica every year. He is principal investigator on one Erasmus+ project, one project of the Scientific Fund of the Republic of Serbia and one project of Provincial Secretariat for higher education and scientific research of Vojvodina. He is a member of the European Association of Agricultural Economists and the Serbian Association of Agricultural Economists. He received the award for the best paper on LSEE and CEFTA competition, “International Trade in Southeastern Europe: Obstacles and Opportunities for CEFTA and the Common Regional Market”.
