Rosa M Lamuela-Raventós, Full Professor of the Department of Nutrition, Food Sciences and Gastronomy since 2019 and chair of the INSA-UB since December 2015, is the leader of the Polyphenol Research Group (www.polyphenolresearch.com). Her research group has been recognized as a consolidated group by the Generalitat de Catalunya (last reference 2017 SGR 196) and she has received continuous financial support from the Spanish Science Ministries. She also leads a CIBEROBN (ciberobn.es) research group since 2012. The group has been collaborating with researchers all around the world (Europe, South America, USA). Regarding her scientific productivity, she has published 327 documents including 269 articles and 23 reviews. Her h-index is 82 and has 31.495 total citations. She has achieved during 4 consecutive years, from 2017 to 2020, the Highly Cited Researcher recognition by Clarivate Analytics and she has also been awarded with the XXV Danone Institute Award for Scientific Trajectory “Dr. Carles Martí Henneberg” in 2018. Research lines: - Innovation, development, and application of bioactive compounds. Enrichment of food with bioactive compounds. Identification of bioactive compounds in foods and biological samples. Evaluation of the effect of processing, storage and cooking on bioactive compounds and their bioavailability and bioactivity. - Clinical, epidemiological, and intervention trials. Her research group is actively involved in several clinical and intervention trials. She leads a subproject of the PROGRAMASI! (programasi.org) and is also collaborating in the PREDIMED and the PREDIMEDPLUS projects. She has led nutritional intervention studies in humans and animals to evaluate the effect of consumption of bioactive compounds of different foods on health outcomes and she also explores the mechanism of these bioactive compounds.

2017/02/16 - 2017/02/18 The Wine and Health 2017 meeting provided an opportunity to bring together world experts for a stimulating exchange of scientific information and ideas on the impacts of wine consumption on human health. Epidemiological evidence of the effect of wine as a unique alcoholic beverage and analyzed the mechanisms by which wine may exert its beneficial effects on health was explored.
