Jorge Rosa Lopes Sousa. Is Contracted Researcher in Universidade de Lisboa Instituto Superior Técnico. He got his Ph.D. in 2002 from the UTL, Lisboa, working on timing and event management systems for nuclear fusion experiments and became a Researcher of IPFN in 2003. Presently, he is responsible for the Control and Data Acquisition of IPFN. His main line of work is the design and development of control and data acquisition systems for nuclear fusion laboratories. He collaborate(d) on European research projects funded by EuroFusion and ‘Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia’ on ITER, JET, IPP, IPP-CR, CCFE, CRPP-IPFL, Univ. S. Paulo, INPE Laboratories, on the areas of Neutron/gamma Spectroscopy/Tomography, Microwave Reflectometry, Thomson Scattering/LIDAR , Real-time Plasma Control and Control and Data Acquisition Systems. Current interests include the development of high-availability instrumentation and signal processing fast real-time algorithms.
